This past Monday was musical nights for NYSD (and New York). Down at Cipriani 42nd Street they honored Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber and at the some hour on the Upper East Side Jenny and John Paulson hosted a concert and dinner in honor Lang Lang, and a magical evening it was — with JH reporting on the amazing event.

A musical night in New York, with DPC at the American Theatre Wing's annual gala honoring Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber at Cipriani 42nd Street and JH up at the home of Jenny and John Paulson, who hosted a concert by Lang Lang followed by a dinner for his International Music Foundation. What a night!

Autumn's begun; a Sunday night dinner at a crowded Sette Mezzo where the conversation was about ... guess what, and among the tables were Jill Kargman and family; and Gigi and Harry Benson who are soon off to Monaco where Harry is being honored.

and Versailles, fourteen years ago in 2004 including the restoration of fountains built for the Sun King, followed by a dinner dance in the orangerie with Jimmy Buffet and his band performing.

The American Friends of Versailles Part I, celebrating a four day visit to Paris, including the Elysee Palace with France's first lady Brigitte Macron; cocktails with US Ambassador Jamie McCourt at the American Residence; private visits to the Palace of Versailles and a black tie reception in the Hall of Mirrors.
