Ballet in Bel Air; Designs of Excellence in Houston

Robin and Elliott Broidy hosted the American Ballet Theatre and its Dancers at their Bel Air home with a private dinner party and a very special performance to benefit the ABT. The ABT Dancers performed a program of highlight from The Sleeping Beauty, Gopak and Don Quixote. The evening raised $350,000 for the American Ballet Theatre in its commitment as “America’s National Ballet Company” to continue to perform in Los Angeles on a regular basis – bringing dance to America and American dance to the world.

Decorative Center Houston (DCH) announced the winners of their 2007 Designs of Excellence Awards. The awards were recently presented to the winners during the Spring Design Market, which was held at DCH and showcased what the latest trends and designs are in the interior design industry.

Each of the winners was chosen from many entries in each category. The categories and winners are:

• Preservation/Restoration: Residential: Allegro Builders

• Preservation/Restoration: Commercial: Stern & Bucek Architects

• Preservation/Restoration: Commercial: Honorable Mention: Enter Architecture Karen Lantz, AIA
