Washington Social Diary

by Carol Joynt

Washington takes this time of year seriously. If in the spring we let our cherry blossoms and azaleas do the showing off, come the holiday season it's all about people exercising their decorative flare with lights and garlands and whatever else comes to mind.

In Georgetown this passion manifests itself as a village-wide display of wreaths. Not every home, but the majority of homes put a wreath on the door, or the lamp post or the gate or fence. We went walkabout with the digital and found something for everyone, including a few that did wreaths and more. Wishing you a Happy Holiday from Georgetown, and Washington Social Diary.
