This coming Thursday, January 31st  at 10am and 2pm, Phillips de Pury & Company is launching its first mid-season Photographs auction at its headquarters at 450 West 15th Street in Chelsea.

More than 300 attended the opening reception for this sale last Thursday with an exhibition featuring a veritable smorgasbord of photographic master works of 20th Century and Contemporary photography. 

It’s a sale that offers exceptional opportunities for younger collectors as many of the photographs are from later editions of master photographers such as work ranging from Henri Cartier-Bresson, Ansel Adams, Andre Kertesz, Helen Levitt, Robert Doisneau, Berenice Abbott, and Helmut Newton as well as a wide selection of contemporary photography by today’s most important figures including Cindy Sherman and Loretta Lux.
