It will be a fundraising frenzy in Water Mill this Saturday, July 25th, as two of the Hamptons most anticipated events, the Watermill Center's Annual Benefit & Auction and OCRF's Super Saturday, will both take place that day. The 18th Annual Super Saturday will be from 12-6 on the lush grounds of Nova's Ark Project, and The Watermill Center's 22nd Annual Benefit & Auction begins at 6 p.m. at the center's sprawling 8 acre campus. Attending one or both events? Here's how we plan to tackle this social doubleheader with aplomb.
The festivities begin at noon with Ovarian Cancer Research Fund's Super Saturday, co-hosted by Kelly Ripa and Donna Karan. The New York Times dubs it "the Rolls Royce of garage sales." And for good reason: attendees enjoy 30-50% off premier designer brands like Theory, Alice + Olivia, Helmut Lang, rag & bone, Vilebrequin, Vince, Diane von Furstenberg, Versace and many more. In addition to incredible shopping, there is also a full kid's carnival with rides and arts and crafts, complimentary cocktails served by roaming waiters and free activities ranging from manicures to psychic readings.
Kelly Ripa will be at the ready for Ovarian Cancer Research Fund's Super Saturday.
In the past, we've scored the cutest back to school items for our kids and the chicest designer pieces for ourselves. One caveat: there are no dressing rooms! If you're a Barney's Warehouse sale vet, you may not bat an eye at the women stripping to try on a DVF wrap dress ... just don't say we didn't warn you. I always wear an easy-on, easy-off summer frock with a bikini underneath so I can try on potential purchases with some decorum.
We told you there were no dressing rooms.
Super Saturday takes place at high noon in late July, so it often feels like Super Sticky Saturday. If you plan on attending, a wide-brimmed sun hat is de rigueur. Be sure to wear plenty of sunblock on your face and any other exposed body part.

I also make sure to have a cooling skin mist, Ursa Major face/body wipes and a frizz-fighting hair product in my bag, to avoid looking like a melting hairball by 12:15.

A favorite summer afternoon beauty hack is slicking my hair back with Philip Kingsley's UV-blocking Swimcap.

I get my hair off my face, that Robert Palmer girl sleekness, and a deep conditioning treatment all at the same time. Since I'm out in the sun, the heat works to intensify the treatment, allowing the product to penetrate deeper into the hair. Once I rinse out the product, my hair is incredibly soft and smooth ... just in time for a night out on the town.

Makeup should be minimal — luckily by late July I have that subtle sun kissed glow that makes a full face unnecessary. I never go completely au naturel, though as there are always swarms of photographers snapping away. A tinted BB Cream, like B. Kamins Laboratories Sun Defense SPF 30, mascara, and lip gloss should do. I usually get all of my shopping done by 3, leaving plenty of time to prepare for the Watermill Center gala.

All Super Saturday proceeds fund OCRF's life-saving research programs. To learn more about Super Saturday and purchase tickets, click here.
Michelle Smith has that perfectly sun kissed summer skin. Haven't logged enough beach time to get the look? Fake it till you make it with Institut Esthederm's Sun Sheen Light.
Nia Sanchez and Gabriela Isler are smooth criminals, with hair that's impossibly sleek in hot, humid weather. Arimino Bamboo Moisture Veil is our secret weapon to keep hair manageable, shiny and frizz-free.
There's just enough time to go home, enjoy an apéritif, shower and change before the Watermill Center's 22nd Annual Benefit & Auction.

Click to order Institut Esthederm Eye Contour Lift Patches.
If I was squinting too much while inspecting price tags in the Super Saturday sun, I'll make sure to treat my eyes with Institut Esthederm Eye Contour Lift Patches. These under eye masks immediately brighten, smooth and depuff skin, and create the perfect canvas for a flawless makeup application.

The benefit starts at 6:00 p.m., at the "laboratory for the arts" center's picturesque eight-acre campus. This is the cultural highlight of the summer and one of the Hamptons' hottest tickets. Every year, the benefit has an enigmatic theme that's left open to interpretation by artists and guests alike. This year's theme, "Circus of Stillness ... the power over wild beasts," should make for a magical evening, with the over-the-top installations, daring performances and elaborate decor we've come to expect from Robert Wilson.

The spirit of the evening is truly avant-garde, so dress-wise, anything goes! Looks can range from mundane to magical. Many guests use the event's theme as inspiration for their dress, makeup, hair, etc., so we are excited to see some bestial beauty at this year's fete.
At last year's Watermill Center gala, Elena Soboleva and Susi Kenna's glowing skin showed that you don't have to be super tan to look stunning. Use Sasawashi Mesh Body Scrub Towel in the shower to exfoliate for soft, supple skin.
Whether you're going for black tie or throwing on black sneakers, be sure that your makeup and hairstyle are built to last. After your makeup application, apply translucent powder all over with a large powder brush.

For extra credit, mist face with Institut Esthederm Cellular Water Spray and then (oh, so) gently lay a tissue over your face for a moment to soak up any excess moisture, then peel off. Your skin will stay dewy — and your makeup will stay in place — all night long. A finishing product for hair is also a must. A little dollop of Arimino Aqua Moisture provides hours of moisture and shine for any and all hair types and style.

You'll be roaming around a wooded area at dusk, so if you are prone to mosquito bites, don't forget to protect yourself. One of my favorite bug repellent brands is handcrafted right in Sag Harbor: Dr. Fedorenko True Organic Bug Salve and Bug Stick. These two multitasking marvels were developed by clinical herbalist and holistic doctor Dr. Julia Fedorenko and dermatologist Dr. Larissa Fedorenko.

They are made with a powerful blend of pure essential oils that keep insects away for hours. The base of luxurious botanical butters also helps to hydrate your skin while the aromatherapeutic properties of the advanced formulas energize and elevate the spirit. Bug Salve is conveniently packaged in a tin container, perfect to carry in a small purse for outdoor events. These products are free of DEET, synthetic fragrances & colors, parabens, phthalates, dairy and soy.

When I finally arrive home, I'll indulge my skin with Emma Hardie's award winning Moringa Cleansing Balm to remove makeup and thoroughly clean my face. Then I'll throw on my Binchotan Charcoal Eye Mask to enjoy a deep, restful sleep after a magical day.
