2012 Annual Gala for Cabaret Cares/Help Is On the Way Today
Cabaret Cares/Help Is On The Way Today is announcing their sixth annual Gala Fundraiser to be held on May 20, 2012 at the Laurie Beechman Theater. Founded by Joseph Macchia in 2005,
Help Is On The Way Today is a tiny, 501c3 charitable organization dedicated to assisting children living with HIV/AIDS. Macchia has raised over $65,000 since 2005 through a monthly series of fundraisers featuring the NYC Cabaret and Broadway communities. This year, Help Is On The Way Today is proud to be honoring award-winning media personality, Valerie Smaldone, as the recipient of the Spirit Award in appreciation for her continuous support.
The Gala will include a cocktail hour, a live auction, a buffet dinner with unlimited beer, wine and the special Gala Cocktail and a live show featuring Broadway and Cabaret performers. The talent line up includes Anything Goes cast member Robert Creighton (who will act as the auctioneer), John Demarco, Marissa Mulder, Susan Winter, T. Oliver Reid, the delightful Sydney Myer and many others.
