Literacy Partners 28th Annual “Evening of Readings” Gala
Hosted by Alina Cho, Jacqueline Weld Drake, Parker Ladd and Arnold Scaasi, Literacy Partners will welcome more guests to Lincoln Center for Literacy Partners 28th annual “Evening of Readings” Gala to raise critical funds for Literacy Partners. This year’s Gala honorees are Harold McGraw III, Chairman, President and CEO at the McGraw-Hill Companies, and Liz Smith who will receive the LIZZIE Award for her passion for the written word and her commitment to improving the lives of those who cannot read or write. The evening begins with a cocktail reception at 7:00 pm, followed by a program featuring readings from TV personalities and authors Bill Maher, Jeffrey Toobin, and Sally Bedell Smith. Joining these acclaimed authors on stage will be our adult literacy students who will share their own inspiring essays about their experiences learning to read as adults. Dinner and dancing complete the evening.
