The seventh annual D.R.E.a.M.S in the city will take place on Thursday, May 17, 2012. This year, the event will be held at 583 Park Avenue in New York City, a landmark former church. This sophisticated soirée will feature delectable food, classic cocktails, live music, dancing, and a luxury live and silent auction. Proceeds will benefit the cure-focused work of the Diabetes Research Institute.
Honorees are Bernd G. Heinze, Esquire, president and Chief Executive Officer of The Heinze Group and Accolade Management Services. Mr. Heinze will receive the event’s Dare to Dream award. Chef Art Smith, proprietor of such esteemed restaurants Table fifty-two, Art and Soul, and Southern Art, and the newly opened Joanne Trattoria, will receive the evening’s Humanitarian award.
Alan Kalter, of Late Show with David Letterman, will once again serve as Master of Ceremonies and The Jay Prince Band will light up the night with great music.
