OPENING NIGHT - EMILY BERGL "NY I LOVE YOU" AT CAFE CARLYLE
The Carlyle Hotel is pleased to welcome Emily Bergl to the Café Carlyle for a two-week debut engagement in the legendary New York venue. Beginning Tuesday, May 1 (and playing through Saturday. May 12), Ms. Bergl, who The New York Times calls “a natural stage entertainer who suggests a multiple exposure of Carol Burnett, Bette Midler, and Madonna," will present “NY I Love You,” an evening of songs and stories that explore a life-long love affair with the Big Apple and all the characters who call Manhattan home. Audiences will be transported to the city that never sleeps, with classic tunes from Rodgers & Hart and Gus Kahn, as well as sly reinventions of modern pop from the Beach Boys to Cyndi Lauper. Ms. Bergl will be accompanied by a trio led by her Musical Director Jonathan Mastro on piano. The evening is directed by Sarna Lapine.
