INNER-CITY SCHOLARSHIP FUND JUNIOR COMMITTEE HOSTS JUNIOR PROM SPRING FUNDRAISER
The Junior Committee of Inner-City Scholarship Fund (ICSF) will host its annual spring benefit Friday, May 4th, at The Top of the Mutual of America Building, 320 Park Avenue (at 51st Street) from 7:00 to 10:00 PM. ICSF is the city’s leading non-profit organization dedicated to providing tuition assistance for students from low-income families.
Guests will enjoy a festive evening of top shelf cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, a dinner buffet, silent auction and raffle including Jet Blue tickets, a gift card to Cipriani 42nd Street, a night at the Waldorf Astoria and more.
All of the night’s proceeds will benefit the ICSF Junior Committee’s commitment to providing inner-city boys and girls with enriching academic experiences. The Junior Committee, made up of young professionals under the age of forty, complements the financial support of ICSF through hands-on activities in ICSF schools. The committee’s programs include monthly trips to New York City cultural institutions, tutoring, sports leagues, and annual holiday parties.
Inner-City Scholarship Fund provides support to nearly 8,000 students (93% minority and 36% non-Catholic) in 92 inner-city Catholic schools in Manhattan, the Bronx and Staten Island. Although two-thirds of its students live at or below the federal poverty level, an astounding 95% of graduates from ICSF-supported schools pursue college at some of the finest universities in the nation.
Individual ticket prices start at $75. For ticket and sponsorship contact Janelle Hengeveld at 646-794-3369 or Hengeveld@icsf-nyc.org.
