Bewitchingly Dezia: August 2016

by Dezia Restivo

Our NAME is that tenacious thing
to which all faults and graces cling,

Our manners, habits, thoughts and air,
are stamped upon the NAME we bear.

This not by common flesh and bones,
but by OUR NAME that we are known.

And all the failures and the gains,

Our name as given at birth is our “Cosmic Registration Card.”

There is a great desire to get things UNDERWAY AND PUSH A NEW PROJECT. It will be difficult to choose as there are many options for you at present. In choosing just be aware that any major work should be completed at the beginning of the month so that you can heave a sigh of relief even though work will carry on. Approach it in an organized fashion. Towards the end of the month, stay close to home. If there is a trying member of the family resolve not to have a verbal abuse session with this person. By the last week of the month, you will have people to meet and new territory to survey. The advice here is to approach everything calmly allowing enough time for everything; scheduling is vital. Try to avoid moving house or place of work or signing important papers until September.

This year is one of great change which you probably saw ample evidence of during July. Live by three words this month: POISE, CALM and RELAXATION. Contrary to your approach is July let the world go by during August, especially in the first week. The second week could see you on the move-bring the three words with you. They will prove particularly useful during the third week. A good position to take for much of the month is a horizontal one. Ignore people who seem intent on irritating you. Spend time with family at the end of the month; home proves comforting. After the first week of the month, there are much happier things on your horizon; take heart.

This is the month you start to see RESULTS from your efforts in this year of great opportunity. Between the 1st and the 8th devote efforts to exposing your talents; people prove to be unusually receptive. The undercurrent of nerves in the first week may get accentuated by family demands; don’t ruffle any feathers and play the diplomat in this quarter. In the third week pay attention to finances which will have a far healthier complexion than they have of late. The time for reclusive behavior is the last week.

While July found you in decidedly flighty mode, August brings a change of mood. BUSINESS and the reality of hard work replace last month’s heady atmosphere. There will be rewards, however, as you feel on much firmer ground than you have in recent times. The first ten days should be devoted largely to finance and work.

Take care of health matters, preferably before the 10th. Those athletes among you should guard against injuries with a dose of extra caution; record breaking should not be undertaken. If the second week brings the blues you will be more productive overall if you take a brief break from work. There is much to do; approach tasks with the attitude that you will do what you can. The last week brings relief and great results from your efforts.

Not the most straightforward of months, but one when you can be SEEN AND HEARD to your best advantage. A little self-discipline in speech and action will insure against offense being taken or accidents occurring.

Don’t spread yourself or your health too thin. Take a trip during the first week and escape from the nerves that are at large. Buckle down to financial matters during the second week, but avoid embarking on new projects even if you have the urge to do so. A man plays a prominent role for all of you in the third week; approach with caution to avoid confrontation here. Guard against temper flare ups. Plan well if traveling and check on everything before leaving the house.

#6 People

There will be much on your mind this month with RESPONSIBILITY being the dominant theme. If dealing everyone will experience a certain tension this month, so take heart and realize that you are not alone. Confusion arises out of a question of loyalty and responsibility; it may relate to issues concerning your own health or that of a loved one or family member. Refuse to be overwhelmed by the demands of
others; you are not actually expected to do everything even if that is your personal conviction. Home and family hold your attention; try to avoid making a decision that could cause division between you and family.

#7 People

This month pay particular attention the WORDS you use. If you are in the field of communication or writing read everything before giving the final go ahead. Any legal dealings should also be approached with care. Anybody initiating legal proceedings should think again. Social and romantic calendars are busy; again don’t make any demands and make smooth sailing your priority. It is better to swallow your pride (and the words that go with it) during August rather than battle it out with loved ones or adversaries. The best solution would be to view everything from an extended perspective; throw away the magnifying glass and try a grander approach.

#8 People

This month you wield quite a bit of POWER. The first two weeks have an air of tension. The third week find you working hard with the advantages of recent efforts contributing to what could be a coup in your chosen field of endeavor. The last week is ideal for missing business and pleasure.  With a little caution you can survive August better than most and will emerge with a considerable achievement under your belt. This achievement is just what the self-esteem Doctor ordered and proves to be the required fuel for the rest of your efforts this year.

If you have a project on hand that demands COMPLETION this month, try and attend to it. Considerable benefits can be achieved by finalizing tasks, which will prove crucial. The second week should be taken easy; opt for a few easy social outings with those you find easiest to get along with.

Romantic life, especially if it has been drifting towards the rocks lately, should be handled with extreme care. The third week finds you out and about, possibly traveling. Examine your diary as you will have a tendency to miss or be late for appointments. The last week proves trying in relation to work and romance. Avoid testing new waters.
To arrive at your “key number,” add each digit of the month and the day of your birth; this gives you your number unless it comes to more than 9. If this is the case, add the two remaining digits together. This is now your number. For example, if you were born on November 17th, then add the following digits: 11 and 17 (1+1+1+7=10). Because 10 must be reduced to arrive at one digit, add 1 + 0 = 1. Therefore your “key number” would be 1.
