Cornelia Foss, a painterly realist, has been painting for over half a century with her sure hand and her elegant use of color.

The artist’s work, featured in numerous solo and group shows both nationally and internationally, is currently on view at The Rafael Gallery through April 14, 2018.

Ms. Foss is resident of Manhattan’s Upper East Side, where she teaches at The Art Student’s League, and a long time house owner in Sagaponack where she has devoted much time to her “plein air” landscapes.

There was an opening on Tuesday, March 27th attended by Cornelia’s children, grandchildren and her numerous devoted friends: Louis Miano, Susan Lacey, Jane Maynard, Louise Hirshfeld Cullman, Alexandra Schlesinger, Jeffrey Gelfand, Emmy Storrs, and Sallie Benton.
