If there's a real authentic Lover Boy in New York, it’s Frederic Fekkai. Charming, socially ambitious, Moroccan by descent, brought up in the South of France, Fekkai has been one of the top hair stylists in New York for more than a decade and his reputation is not unlike that of George, the Warren Beatty character in Shampoo. He’s been married (to Elizabeth) and has a young child by her.

A couple of years ago Johnson & Johnson multimillionairess Libet Johnson had roped him into her fabulous lair of chauffeur driven Bentleys and private jets. Everyone thought Frederic would settle down for this one. Uh-uh. There was an American actress he met at Cannes who distracted him just long enough for both him and Johnson to get the message.

In the meantime, as the world now knows, Fekkai has his own line of hair products too, and all those girls? Ever hear of the Boulevard of Broken Dreams? That’s where Frederic Fekkai drops them off.
