Citymeals-on-Wheels and Restaurant Associates hosted their 17th annual benefit featuring America's Greatest Chefs including Wolfgang Puck (Spago, Beverly Hills), Daniel Boulud (Daniel, NYC), Nobu Matsuhisa (Nobu, NYC), Bobby Flay (Bolo, NYC), Eric Ripert (Le Bernadin, NYC), Ed Brown (The Sea Grill, NYC), Charlie Palmer (Aureole, NYC), Francois Payard (Payard, NYC), Alfred Portale (Gotham Bar & Grill, NYC), Jonathan Waxman (Washington Park, NYC), Franck Deletrain (Café Centro, NYC), Jody Adams (Rialto, Boston), Gary Danko (Gary Danko, San Francisco), Susan Spicer (Bayona, New Orleans, LA), Charlie Trotter (Charlie Trotter's, Chicago), Alice Waters (Chez Panisse, Berkeley, CA), Gale Gand and Rick Tramonto (Tru, Chicago), Dean Fearing (Mansion on Turtle Creek, Dallas).

1200 guests attended including cochairs Cheryl Gordon, John Pomerantz, and Nick Valenti, Citymeals-on-Wheels founder Gael Greene, Marissa Jaret Winokur, David Rockwell, Larissa B., Tim and Nina Zagat, Drew Nieporent and Marco Maccioni, Mario Batali, Lilian Vernon, Lally Weymouth, Preston Robert Tisch, Todd Meister, and Arthur Sulzberger, Jr.

Citymeals-on-Wheels provides funding for 200 neighborhood based meals-onwheels programs delivering food to elderly home bound New Yorkers. This year's theme "The biggest Small Town in the World" was a salute to New York City. Close to $1 million was raised for Citymeals-on-Wheels.

Strang Cancer Prevention Center's Blossom Ball

The Strang Prevention Center's Blossom Ball 2003 Spring Benefit was attended by over 300 guests at the Metropolitan Club. The event honored Strang Board Member Claire Tow and Strang President Emeritus Dr. Emerson Day, with special presentations made by actress and Strang member Mercedes Ruehl, actor Cliff Robertson, opera tenor Michael Amante, Strang President Dr. Michael Osborne, and Helen Winter Marx, Executive Vice President/COO of Strang and Consul General of Finland.

Celebrating 70 years of prevention and early detection of cancer, the world-renowned Strang Cancer Prevention Center is a non-profit diagnostic and research center dedicated to developing programs that prevent cancer, as well as detect, diagnose, and cure it in its early stages. Founded in 1933, Strang is the oldest cancer prevention institute in the United States. The center's programs benefit directly from collaborative research in partnership with The New York Weill Cornell Medical Center.

The American Theatre Wing's Tony Time Party

The American Theatre Wing celebrated all the Tony Award nominations at the Tony Time Party at Sardi's.

For over 80 years, the American Theatre Wing has provided service to the community and the theatre through its educational programs, grants, and scholarships, hospital programs and young audience development. The American Theatre Winf founded the Tony Awards in 1947 and continues to present them, presently in partnership with the League of American Theatres and Producers.
