Coty celebrated its 100th anniversary in the Rose Center for Earth and Space
L. to r.: Kate Moss; Robert Verdi; Isabella Rosselini; Serena Williams; Gillian Hearst.
The Coty 100th Anniversary Gala was held in the Rose Center for Earth and Space ... and for three hours, it was the center of a very glamorous universe. Bathed in the blue glow of the Hayden Planetarium overhead, the 600 invited guests of Coty CEO Bernd Beetz partied amid the Bureau Betak light show and danced to the stellar sounds of DJ Mark Ronson.

In keeping with the night's chemistry-based theme, bars were transformed into laboratories with boiling test tubes, beakers and flasks, while waitresses were outfitted in white lab coats, serving up Midnight-blue Coty Cocktails along with other vividly-colored concoctions.

A big crowd turned out to celebrate the 90th birthday of Danish designer Hans Wegner, creator of the Wishbone chair. Wallpaper magazine and the Soho contemporary furniture shop Troy cohosted cocktails in the lobby of the Lever House.

Among the oohers and ahhers over the eight new colors the chairs now come in were design legends Calvin Klein and Donna Karan; Steve Tisch and his beautiful wife Jamie; Lowes CEO and Steve's brother Jon, actress Bai Ling, Cynthia Garrett, Vogue's Hamish Bowles and Katie Ford. Kris Fuchs, Troy's head PR and marketing honcho, gathered such swells as Serena and Samantha Boardman, Scoop's Stefani Greenfield, jewelry designers Jennifer Miller and Nina Runsdorf, Rita Schrager, Andrew Cuomo, architects David Mann and Campion Platt, Dini von Mueffling, PR maveness Harriet Weintraub, Wallpaper EIC Jeremy Langmead, Troy's Troy Halterman, and Kris' hubby Michael, who (along with Aby Rosen) owns the Lever House and the Seagram Building.
