A few Monday's ago, the Arts & Business Council held its annual gala at Gotham Hall. The Corporate Leadership Award went to Efraim Grinberg, President & CEO Movado Group Inc.

Proceeds from the event will support Arts & Business Council's signature programs, which provide capacity building and financial resources to arts organizations in New York and nationwide.  Since 1975, Business Volunteers for the Arts (BVA) has matched business professionals as pro bono management consultants with thousands of arts organizations.  The National Arts Marketing Project, launched in 1997, has helped more than 6,000 arts managers develop marketing skills that build new audiences and generate revenue.  Their development programs include the Multicultural Arts Management Internship Program and the Arts Leadership Institute, both of which help diversify and train arts leaders of the future.

Lucky, the award winning magazine about shopping, created the ultimate shopping experience with its first-ever "Lucky Shops" event. Lucky brought the pages of the magazine to life with a unique mix of merchandise at a variety of price points, all in a fun lounge-like environment. Lucky’s team of experts carefully edited and selected their favorite fashions, handbags, shoes, beauty and home accessories from designers like Marc by Marc Jacobs, See by Chloe, Jonathan Adler as well as hard-to-find designers from London, Paris, St. Barths and more, with most selling at 20-50% off retail. Lucky Shops also featured a Holiday Gift Shop, with unique pre-wrapped gifts like autographed CDs from Michelle Branch, one of-a-kind items from Milla Jovovich's new line Jovovich Hawk, tee's from Mblem. by Mandy Moore, designs from jeweler Me & Ro and coveted items from Judith Leiber and more.

Proceeds from ticket and select merchandise sales benefited Robin Hood Foundation, an organization dedicated to fighting poverty and helping disadvantaged women in New York City. Lucky Shops was presented by Ford Freestyle and The IN:NYCSM Card from American Express.
