15,000 party-goers helped celebrate the 6th Annual Madison Avenue: Where Fashion Meets Art – making this New York’s ultimate 29-block party. Joining them was Whitney Museum Director, Adam D. Weinberg and an Honorary Committee that included Fabian and Martina Basabe, Francisco Costa, Deborah Norville, Gillian Hearst-Shaw and Chris Gailus. Yves Saint Laurent played host to Anna Paquin, Gina Gershon, Marisa Tomei, Samantha Boardman and Sally Albemarle to view a neon work by Sylvie Fleury. Calvin Klein Collection designer Francisco Costa toasted New York artist Brendan Cass, who worked 24/7 to paint on the store windows his appropriately themed “I Love New York” art.

Ralph Lauren showcased fashion photographer Bruce Weber, and Christopher Brooks was at Dolce & Gabbana for an extensive exhibition of his art on all 3 floors. The art exhibition will be open to public from April 28 – May 14. Sponsored by American Express, the event is organized by the Madison Avenue Business Improvement District (BID) and benefits the Whitney Museum of American Art Family Programs.

Brian Farrell and Jillian Teta

Attendees included: Richard Belzer, Gregg Bello, Ross Bleckner, J.P. Davis, Brian Farrell, Sandy Gallin, Terry George, Albie Hecht, Phoebe Cates, Dan Klores, Don King, Eddie O’Flaherty, Julian Schnabel, Rita Schrager. J.P. Davis delivers a knock-out feature film debut of fierce intensity with beautifully realized characters, exceptionally acted with veteran character actor Eddie Jones. This boxing drama, in the vein of Million Dollar Baby is about the dreams of a trainer and a raw fighter. When the two become a team everything is possible.

It was a very proud night for J.P. Davis (screenwriter and star) along with Eddie O'Flaherty, who were dressed by Calvin Klein, as they welcomed family and friends along with some very prominent artists and filmmakers.

As just as the screening was about to begin ... Don King made a "Don King style" entrance wearing an American Flag studded jacket and waving 2 American flags.

Following the screening there was a dinner at Bungalow 8. A group of party hoppers also stopped by the celebration including  Joely Fisher, Kim Raver, Michael Michele and her beau Jimmy Rodriguez along with former American Idol contestant Mario Vasquez.

Clockwise from above: Fighting Tommy Riley director Eddie O'Flaherty, Ross Bleckner, Fighting Tommy Riley screenwriter and star J.P. Davis, and Terry George; Susan and Albie Hecht with daughter Kate Sarlin; Kim Raver, Richard Belzer, and Joely Fisher.
