| OLIVIA
CHANTECAILLE AND ERIC VILLENCY |
At
the benefit galas, the restaurants and parties around town, they
are one of the beautiful couples of the moment. By day
(and let’s face it, probably by
night too) they’re entirely focused business people.
Eric used to be a model for NEXT and for all
I know Olivia was too. She looks
the part. Olivia was born into the cosmetics business – daughter
of Sylvie Chantecaille,
the French beauty guru who was the first to develop foundations
for different races – and she’s now working with
her mother and has her own product on the market, what she
calls an organic Botox, the Biodynamic Lifting Cream. Their
line includes the foundations, perfume, facial washes and moisturizers.
Eric is the grandson of the Maurice Villency whose furniture
line has a sleek new showroom on the corner of 57th Street and Third Avenue,
in the heart of the interior design world. Eric, who was a Calvin Klein and Abercrombie & Fitch
model and Cosmo’s “Bachelor of the Year” four years
ago, is now President of Maurice Villency.
Recently the couple were highlighted in Richard Johnson’s
Page Six in the New York Post because of an “errant email” meant
for Villency’s marketing director suggesting story-lines to publicize the
couple pointing out the similarities between the two – both in family businesses,
both out there and eager for publicity (they call it “branding” these
days) to promote them as “the face” of their businesses while their
parents (his father, her mother) run things behind the scenes. |
