Easter Sunrise Service at Windsor.
|
Every year, the Honorable Hilary and Galen Weston host an “Easter At Windsor” at Windsor, the private community they built north of Vero Beach in Florida. Windsor is a place where residents play polo, golf and tennis.
The festive and colorful three-day weekend kicked off with an Equestrian dinner in the stables with dinner and dancing. Blue and white checkered tables topped with sunflowers set the stage for a spirited weekend including a Windsor Block party, Easter Egg Hunt and Sunday Easter Sunrise Service. Windsor's chic Anglo -Caribbean architecture and new urbanism/neo-traditional design played backdrop to this family affair on the lush 416 acre property located on a barrier island between the Indian River and the Atlantic Ocean. Windsor played host to families and guests across the generations and from all over the world.
The list of international guests included Henry and Marie-Josee Kravis, Charles Delevigne and Poppy and Pandora Delevigne from London, Count Alessandro and Countess Catrina Guerrini-Maraldi, Count Hubert and Countess Isabell D'Ornano from Pareis, Count Nicky and Countess Stephanie Szapary (Austria), Catherine Hyde, ValeriePringle (Canada), Jeff and Jenny Kelter, Ned Ryan (London) and Vincent and Vicky Poklewski-Koziell (also from London).
For anyone that loves Easter, the Windsor Easter Block party was one of the highlights of the weekend featuring a festive parade of decorated golf carts competing for "Best in Show" and fun and games for the children including face painting and culinary offerings. India, Jamie, Gigi and Carl Grimstad won for best in show for their Frida Kahlo golf cart. It was also a perfect weekend for an Easter Egg Hunt and an elegant sunrise service on the beach. |

| Last Thursday in Beverly Hills, the Gargosian Gallery held a private reception for Evelyn Lauder and to announce an exhibition of her photographs entitled "Perceptions of Beauty." The exhibition was on view last Friday and Saturday. All proceeds from the sales of the photographs went to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation which Mrs. Lauder founded, and for which she has raised more than $160 million in the past twelve years. |
