 Worth the price of admission

ARTWALK NY held a cocktail party “to celebrate artist Pat Steir” at the Skylight Studio at 275 Hudson Street. |
| This past Tuesday night ARTWALK NY, benefiting Coalition for the Homeless, held a cocktail party “to celebrate artist Pat Steir” at the Skylight Studio at 275 Hudson Street. Co-chairs of the evening were Alec Baldwin and Richard Gere and Carey Lowell. I’m not sure if Mr. Gere was there but Baldwin and Lowell were. The evening was a cocktail, live and silent auctions and “tastings from NYC’s Finest Restaurants.” That in itself was worth the price of admission. The good that the Coalition does is imperative, things being what they are for so many. To learn more about ARTWALK NY go to www.artwalkny.org. |

The Annual Moth Ball Gala 2009, “The Black and White Ball” was also held on Tuesday night at Capitale. Billed as an “evening of great fun,” hosts were Garrison Keillor and Jonathan Ames. With a Jonathan Adler designed 2009 Moth Award, they honored Anna Deavere Smith. Also Ogilvy was honored for their longtime support. Richard Belzer presented the 2009 MothSHOP community Scholarship to Terence Buckner, a graduate of the MothSHOP Community High School Program.
The invitation said about the accepted attire for the evening:
Raven black or powder white,
Don yourself for a festive night.
Add a mask so we will wonder,
What persona lies there under?
And it went on from there.
