PALM BEACH, FL — On Friday, November 14, Andrea and Brian Kosoy, Nicole and Ryan Munder, Tracy and Matthew Smith, Darcie and Joel Kassewitz, and Crissy Poorman and Doug Luce joined Maybach at a sunset cocktail reception, which showcased Maybach’s 62 S model. The evening benefitted the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Southern Florida.
Highlights of the evening, which took place poolside at the club, included gaming at four tables, which included roulette, blackjack, and craps, in and among the exceptional cars. The gaming aspect of the evening was considered to be a kickoff to the Make-A-Wish® Bootlegger’s Ball held every March.
Maybach generously donated the grand prize for the night, which was ten hours (date is the winner’s choice) in a chauffeur-driven Maybach 62 S. Oscar de la Renta showcased an assortment of his magnificent collection of jewelry and gowns.
The evening of bringing visions to life benefitted Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Southern Florida, making dreams come true for children with life-threatening medical conditions.
Each year, the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Southern Florida, the fourth largest wish granting chapter in the world, fulfills the wishes of more than 500 children in 13 South Florida counties who have life-threatening medical conditions, to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy.

More from Palm Beach ... At the start of every Palm Beach season, the same issues arise with the predictability of an annual crop of corn — who had her face done, who’s doing whom, and, this year, of course who has any money left? It’s all disgustingly fascinating — as America’s richest resort magnifies all to excruciatingly minute detail. Why? It’s a simple matter of geography. In big burgs like New York, Chicago and LA, it’s easy to fly under the radar screen if one chooses. But on a little sliver of gilded sand like Palm Beach, everyone knows everyone’s “bizness,” which, to be brutally honest, is why a lot of folks call Palm Beach home. In other words, it ain’t a town for the painfully shy.
So it’s in that spirit that we bring you the barrage of pre-parties, parties and post-parties that pepper the Palm Beach Social Calendar.
Thanksgiving weekend kicked off with Bryce Lingo’s Wednesday evening drinks party in honor of the chairmen and committees for the upcoming “A Votre Sante!” block party deluxe to benefit FoundCare, the area’s new non-profit community health center for uninsured and underinsured children and adults. Last year at this time, the facility was still a construction site. Now, it’s a brand spanking new state-of-the-art primary health care center that will become the equivalent of a family pediatrician, physician, dentist and pharmacist for at least 10,000 of Palm Beach County’s quarter million uninsured.
Bryce, model handsome and about as horsey as a guy can get, hails from Delaware where his family has operated the area’s largest real estate brokerage firm, Jack Lingo, for generations. And while Rehoboth Beach and Middleburg, VA are his usual stomping grounds, he’s made quite a name for himself in Palm Beach as a gracious host. Who wouldn’t, what with a big, rambunctious Ann Downey-decorated crib to play in? All the signature Downey touches abound ... color saturated walls in shades of glazed papaya, tangerine and leaf green, leopard prints, cabana stripes, treillage and over-the-top shtick like gigantic palm tree torchieres and Moroccan lanterns plucked from some palace.

Adding to the booze and cheese puff-fueled cocktail chatter, corporate sponsor Salvatore Ferragamo basically cleaned out their Worth Avenue store and set up a mini-boutique in the dining room, giving all guests a jump on their holiday shopping- along with a first gander at this year’s Grand Drawing First Prize- a 2009 MINI Cooper Clubman donated by Grand Benefactor Mark Brentlinger.
