A gathering of New Yorkers descended on the designer showroom of Me&Ro, Ro's precious jewelry boutique on Elizabeth Street to brighten the holiday season for their fellow New Yorkers as 20 percent of the proceeds from Ro's sale (which has been extended to December 24th -- as long as you mention the Mayor's Fund to Advance New York City) benefit's the programs that serve the needs and welfare of New Yorkers in need.
Big donators like Liz Neumark (CEO of Great Performances which supports 'Fun Food, Smart Food'); big givers like Jessica Seinfeld (author of Deceptively Delicious and founder of Baby Buggy); Zulema and Jose Wiscovitch; Jill and Howard Sharfstein; the 'Joan' girls (Lee and Bright); Christie Huus; Lauren Givnor; Bryant Botero; Laura Stanley (who tends The Sylvia Center); Angela Katz; Alli Jaffin; Anita Contini; Betsey Smith; Chrissy Lowris and countless others shopped 'til they dropped for a great cause.

The investment team of Sherrill, Seybolt & Meizels, joined by their new partner, Tom Barr, held a cocktail party which included a retrospective of Hollywood's Golden Age of Film: the Great Depression. The theme of the fete was a celebration of the human spirit in challenging time.
Film Advocate John Farr narrated an overview of this most productive time in Hollywood during the countries greatest economic hardship. Film clips included the Marx Brothers, Clark Gable and William Powell. Party attendees enjoyed a witty presentation along with clips from several of the best films from the era. |

The Parrish Art Museum hosted it's annual Parrish Presents Holiday Bazaar last Friday.
The holiday gala was kicked off with a preview Cocktail Party for Benefactors, Patrons, Sponsors and Friends. Retailers filled the concert hall, displaying an array of extravagant and unique items. The market was brimming with treasures and the silent auction enticed the most discriminating bargain hunters with its designer items, jewelry and priceless antiques.
All came out to meet noted authors Ina Garten, David Friend, and Kate and James McMullan at the Museum shop's book signing. There was something for everyone at this event, especially that person on your list who simply has everything. The Museum Shop is open throughout the holidays and is a great stop for your holiday shopping needs. Visit www.parrishart.org. |
