Nile Rodgers
The Concert Gala showcased the world-renowned band, CHIC featuring Nile Rodgers. Their 1978 hit song, “Le Freak,” was Warner Brothers’ biggest selling single of all time. Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards are also famous for other popular hits such as “Everybody Dance,” “Good Times,” and “I’m Coming Out.” Rodgers not only propelled his own band to the top; he produced and composed the album We Are Family for Sister Sledge and produced albums for Diana Ross, Madonna, Duran Duran and David Bowie, to name just a few.

Ross School attracts a diverse and energetic group of students who are guided by an exceptional faculty. During the 2007-08 academic year, the school served 565 students from pre-nursery through grade 12.  Financial support is offered to one hundred percent of faculty children, and tuition discounts are given to siblings. 100 percent of all Ross graduates that have applied to four-year colleges have been accepted, and over 30 percent are the first in their families to pursue higher education.

So far, the class of 2008 has received over $1,000,000 in merit awards and over 160 acceptances to schools including Bard College, Barnard College, Bates College, Carleton University, College of Charleston, Columbia, University of Chicago, Emory University, New York University, Rhode Island School of Design, Rollins College, University of San Diego, Skidmore College and Yale University.

The Steven J. Ross Scholarship Fund was established to ensure that students from diverse economic, social, and ethnic backgrounds benefit from a Ross School education. Currently, over 40% of our student body receives need-based financial aid. Contributions to the Steven J. Ross Scholarship Fund enable Ross School to continue to offer children from around the world an exceptional, world-class learning experience.
