On Saturday afternoon, Sarena Tang invited several of her friends to join her at the French Institute Alliance Francaise for a performance of “Oscar and The Pink Lady” starring the indomitable Rosemary Harris.
Ms. Harris portraying both Oscar, a ten-year-old cancer patient and Granny Pink, a candy-striper of sorts, brings to life the young patient’s friends and family. It is a luminous performance. |

The play, directed by Frank Dunlop and written by Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt will have six more weekend performances:
Fridays: January 23 & 30 at 8 pm
Saturdays: January 21 & 31 at 3pm and 8 pm
Sundays January 25 & February 1 at 3pm
Playwright Eric-Emmanuel Schmidt will give a talk about his work on Thursday, January 22nd at 7 pm in English at Le Skyroom, 22 East 60th Street. |
