Guy Wildenstein hosted the Young Patrons Circle of the American Friends of the Louvre and the Junior Committee of the American Hospital of Paris Foundation for a “Fête de Rentrée” at Wildenstein & Co. this past September 28 at his gallery on East 64th Street.

There was a private viewing of never-before-exhibited drawings by Pierre Bonnard (a founder of the Nabis school of painters in France that was active in the late 19th and early 20th century). Perrier Jouet Champagne was provided by and delicious foie gras was served courtesy of none other than Ariane Daguin of D'Artagnan (who personally supervised the presentation of her product at the event). Everyone remarked how seeing the drawings in the Wildenstein’s sublime, neo-classical hôtel particulier was like a little trip to Paris.

The Young Patrons Circle of American Friends of the Louvre seeks to unite young professionals, philanthropists and art enthusiasts with a love for the Louvre and French art. Through events in New York and an annual fund raising benefit, the YPC helps American Friends of the Louvre both strengthen ties between the Louvre and its American public and to reach its fund raising goals.

The Junior Committee of the American Hospital of Paris Foundation is made up of a diverse group of civic-minded young professionals who all want to advance the American Hospital of Paris, both as an important symbol of Franco-American friendship and as an international medical resource. The group achieves its goals by hosting fundraising events and other activities in New York.
