The New York Junior League hosted its 12th annual auction on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Sotheby’s Auction House. The fall fete-themed auction, one of the NYJL’s largest fundraisers, generated vital funding for NYJL’s charitable activities – including signature program's like the playground improvement project. This year’s playground, Sara D. Roosevelt Park on the Lower East Side, marks the 20th playground restoration the NYJL has undertaken.
Over 600 guests attended the gilded evening which consisted of fabulous live and silent auctions, cocktails and dancing. With over 150 silent auction items and 10 live auction packages, coveted items included American Ballet Theater passes; a New York Giants fan pack with field passes to the New York Giants /Philadelphia Eagles game; David Yurman jewelry; Saturday Night Live tickets; a Miami getaway; a private party at the Cynthia Rowley store; a seven-night Caribbean vacation; and three nights at the Las Ventanas Al Paraiso in Los Cabos, Mexico. |
