| Last week's Fourth Annual Martha Stewart Center for Living at Mount Sinai Gala honoring music impresario Clive Davis featured an over-the-top performance by Jennifer Hudson who entertained Martha Stewart, daughter Alexis Stewart, music icon Art Garfunkel, Clive Davis himself and many of his friends and family. Hosted at Martha's headquarters, guests included friend and Today Show host Matt Lauer, who just got back from his whirlwind Where in the World is Matt Lauer series, CNN host Alina Cho, Frederic Fekkai, Marco Maccioni (of the famed Le Cirque restaurant), song-writer Denise Rich, Margaret Russell of Architectural Digest with decorator Vincente Wolfe and Barbara Davis. Danny Meyer and his Union Square Hospitality Group served and exquisite dinner while attendees bid on auction items including an appearance on the Martha Stewart Show as well as a pitch meeting with Clive Davis in his corner office of the Sony building. The event raised money to support the Martha Stewart Center for Living at Mount Sinai, which was dedicated to Martha's late mother, Martha Kostyra, in 2007 upon the center's opening. The Martha Stewart Center for Living at Mount Sinai serves to promote and facilitate access to healthcare resources for older adults and to enhance the public perception of aging. |
