This past December Palm Beach weather has been blissfully warm, with delicious temperatures in the 80s. Everyone was out and about; biking, walking or driving around in charming "cars" or "wheels," just right for this sunny resort town.

|Worth Avenue was packed with tourists and shoppers all admiring and photographing the spectacular Christmas tree, donated by Rush Limbaugh. It is all pretty magical down here with Worth Avenue's storied sidewalks flanked by tall Palm trees wrapped in glamorous twinkling lights, all creating a very festive mood.
Hey, I have even spotted Santa Claus (for those of us who still believe in him) absolutely everywhere!

|The tennis courts are filled, beaches packed, and people are lining up to play golf as rarely have we had such good weather. The "new" very luxe Publix grocery store has reopened to everyone's delight, and so the beat goes on.|

|This is PB, so the town rocks every night with nonstop parties and dinners and is certainly in full gear now! The Baron Cliff Klenk hosted a small dinner with a scrumptious menu, starting with caviar parfait followed by yellowtail snapper, then a coconut cake snowball and a mini snowman ice sculpture, yum!
His swell guest list included Prince Michel de Bourbon-Parme and his wife Princess Maria Pia, Yanna and Stan Rumbough, Darcy and George Gould, Page Lee Hufty, Bill Flaherty, Ginny and Freddie Melhado and more.

|Of course Emilia and Pepe Fanjul gave their annual black tie Christmas dinner, but this year it was so warm that we had drinks by the pool instead of inside their paneled library with a fire going. This is my very favorite traditional holiday dinner party as it has all the trimmings, mistletoe, a big, beautiful tree, carolers, and dear friends to boot!
Another night Arriana and Dixon Boardman threw a wonderful dinner for about 30 and we dined al fresco at two long, narrow tables, while we feasted on baked potatoes with big dollops of fresh caviar, veal picatta, and more.

|In between all these festivities, Wilbur and I popped into the new Holden Luntz Gallery's photography show, "Bold and the Beautiful," as our pal Harry Benson had some wonderful photos in the show.
Earlier that week Harry and I had a book signing for our book New York, New York at Neiman Marcus.

|Before I could blink, it was December 31st, with New Year's Eve with parties all over town: the private clubs were full including Club Colette and Mar-a-Lago.
Wilbur and I popped into Mike McCarty's pre-Coconuts New Year's Eve bash dinner at his restaurant, then motored over to Judy and Alfred Taubman's gorgeous oceanfront Addison Mizner palazzo for a seated dinner.

| Last stop was the Coconuts New Year's Eve bash, better than ever thanks to Julia and David Koch's very generous donation of thirty minutes of dazzling fireworks at the midnight hour.
This evening was especially festive as so many young guests were attending, such as Ted Geary, Tatiana Smith and Remington Curtis, Nicole and Mathew Mellon, Phoebe Gubelmann, Binkie and Chris Orthwein, Liz Walker, Ed Swenson, Travis and Nick Acquavella, Christina Warner, Lauriston Roach, Tory Grauer, Harry LeFrak, Kelly Van Ingen, Elizabeth and Amanda Meigher and Christina and Billy Bryan, Maddy Potvin and Alexandre Desmarais, Sims Lansing and Marina Rutherford. Plus us "grown ups."
Happy New Year!!
