The Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center of the Hamptons celebrated the Hamptons summer season with its annual GET WILD Summer Gala on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Dune Beach in Southampton. The event, chaired by Beth Ostrosky Stern, Christopher Obetz and Ellen Scarborough, celebrated the rehabilitation and successful release of Long Island's native wildlife. Guests in attendance included Beth Ostrosky Stern, Ellen and Chuck Scarborough, Ginnieand Augie Frati, Avis Richards, Leslie Alexander, Christopher and Joni Fischer, Josh Guberman, Jean and Martin Shafiroff, Robert Albertson and Suzanne Murphy, Howard Lorber, Samantha Kleinfield, Ellen and Dr. Jan Linhart, D.D.S, Dr. Tara Allmen, M.D., and Paul Schindler.
Friends, family and supporters of The Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center of the Hamptons gathered for a seaside clambake and cocktails with musical entertainment by Jetty Four. Also in attendance were furry and feathered friends including, Blossom the opossum, Sonja the red tailed hawk, Kaylala the great horned owl and Cutie Pie the screech owl.
Executive Director and Founder of the Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center of the Hamptons, Ginnie Frati, thanked guests “for their generous support and contributions.” “With your donations we can better maintain our medical equipment, get the best veterinary care, and gather skills and training to increase our success rate. We are able to offer state-of-the-art care to our wild neighbors that so richly deserve it because they are usually injured by human activities,” said Frati. |
