| KiDS of NYU Foundation, Inc., sponsored a family bowling party to benefit children’s health services at NYU Langone Medical Center on Sunday, January 25th at Chelsea Piers. Children from toddlers to teens, along with their parents, grandparents and guests, filled the 40 lanes, and also enjoyed roving magicians, face-painting, caricaturists, arts and crafts, and more. The "bowling bash" was co-chaired by Dierdre and Joshua Laterman, Kimberly Pozner, Abigail Scheuer Atema, Lisa Anderson and Barry Goldfeder, and Jessica and Michael Weaver. |

| The event raised $85,000. KiDS' next event, Springfling, will be held Wednesday, May 20th at The Plaza. This year’s Sprinfling will celebrate the extraordinary care provided to children at NYU Langone Medical Center by recognizing Joseph Levy, MD, director of pediatric gastroenterology. KiDS of NYU, an organization of parents, physicians and friends, supports children's health services at NYU Langone Medical Center through philanthropy, community service and advocacy. |

| This past January 22nd, the International Humanitarian Aid Foundation held a dinner at Chelsea Piers to raise funds and to honor the late Preston Robert Tisch. The International Humanitarian Aid Foundation is the charity of Sammy Arthur, a man who was driver and personal assistant to Mr. Tisch for 22 years. |

| During those years, he watched his boss contribute to numerous charities and people in New York City and around the country. He learned from watching. The gala where they honored Mr. Tisch raised $250,000 to send doctors, nurses and food to Ghana and to other areas in need, to provide life saving surgeries and aid. |

| The Cinema Society and its founder Andrew Saffir, along, with designer Pamella Roland and Svedka, hosted a screening of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. The film has garnered the most Oscar nominations (13) for 2008. Best Supporting Actress nominee Taraji P. Henson and the film’s director, David Fincher (nominated for Best Director), were both on hand for the screening and party at the Tribeca & Soho Grand Hotels. |

| Renee and Richard Steinberg hosted an intimate cocktail party at The Core Club to kick-off Guild Hall’s 24th Annual Academy of the Arts Lifetime Achievement Awards. This special pre-celebration officially announced that Candice Bergen, Ken Auletta, Jennifer Bartlett and Donald Zucker will be honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award presented by Guild Hall’s Academy of the Arts at Cipriani 42nd Street in NYC on March 2nd. These honorees will receive this prestigious award for their work in Performing Arts, Literary Arts, Visual Arts and Leadership and Philanthropic Endeavors, respectfully. Academy Award winning screenwriter Marshall Brickman will serve as the Master of Ceremonies for the upcoming gala. At The Core Club honorees Donald Zucker and Ken Auletta mingled with friends and supporters of Guild Hall including Academy of the Arts President Roy Furman and Executive Director Ruth Appelhof, Leila and Mickey Straus, Pamela and Edward Pantzer with their son Jason and his wife Tricia, Somers Farkas, Kipton Cronkite, Cheryl Minikes, interior designer Rona Landman, Alice Judelson, Renee Lucas, Kevin Pancher MD, Elaine Sargent, Mark W. Smith, Ashu and Vinayak Singh, Mike Clifford, Richard Alvazado and Cindy Guyer.
