| I don't know where the social world of the Hamptons and Manhattan would be today without the film producers and their public relations/publicity generals. There isn't a week that goes by these days where there isn't at least one, sometimes two, three or four, major film screenings at public theaters or in corporate screening rooms with a guest list of bold faced names and business who's who's. Everybody loves a good flick, right? And for free too? In big comfortable reclining chairs (I'm talking corporate screening rooms here). And afterwards a terrific dinner at a top restaurant or someone's palatial mansion (at the beach) or downtown loft. And if the film is something like "The Hunting Party" -- which is getting raves from the crowds, then it's a trifecta. One such occurred the other night at the Southampton Cinema and later for dinner at the Water Mill house of Andrew Borrok. They were all there. And they were all happy. |
