Event Title: Portraits & Poloroids benefiting Free Arts NYC. Event Description: Free Arts NYC is pleased to announce its 10th Annual Art Auction Benefit, Portraits & Polaroids. The event will be Co-Charied by Amy Sacco and Mary Alice Stephenson and auctioneer Simon de Pury. For the sixth consecutive year, this live auction will present unique, large-scale 20x24 Polaroid pirnts, created specifically for Free Arts NYC by leading contemporary artists. The benefit will also feature a silent auction of 50 artworks based on the theme of "The Portrait" in the broadest and most contemporary sense. Participating artists include Christopher Wool, Chuck Close, Richard Prince, Adam Fuss, Ed Ruscha, Kehinde Wiley, James Nares, and Rirkrit Tiravanija among others. Free Arts NYC is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing art and creative activities to abused and underprivileged children in New York City.
