Equality Now

Last Tuesday night over at the Manhattan Theatre Club at NY City Center Stage 1, they had a benefit performance for Join Equality Now. Equality Now works to end violence and discrimination against women and girls around the world through the mobilization of public pressure. Issues of concern to Equality Now include: Rape, Domestic Violence, Reproductive Rights, Trafficking, Female Genital Mutilation, Political Participation, Gender Discrimination.

This past Tuesday in New York at the Mandarin Oriental, The USO of Metropolitan New York held its 43rd Woman of the Year luncheon honoring Stephanie George, Executive Vice President of Time, Inc., and Major General Patricia D. Horoho, Commander, Madigan Army Medical Center and Western Regional Medical Command/Chief, Army Nurse Corps.

Since 1941, the USO has served as a “home away from home" for the men and women of our Armed Forces during war and peace and as the main support link between Americans and our men and women in uniform.
