| Laura and Harry Slatkin hosted a private cocktail party last week at their Upper East Side townhouse to celebrate the wedding of Anouschka and John Demsey.
Champagne, hors d’oeuvres and Mr. Slatkin’s signature: the best aromatic candles Harry can find – and he can find ‘em all since he’s the world’s greatest producer of aeromatic candles that I know of. Among the fashionable crowd congratulating the couple were designers Zac Posen, Maggie Norris, and Thom Brown, Leonard Lauder, his niece Aerin Lauder Zinterhofer, his son William Lauder, Lisa Airan, Helen Shifter, Blaine Trump, Alex Papachristidis, Scott Nelson, Jeff Pheifle, and Adam Mahr. A late arriving Iman came midway through Slatkin’s toast to the happy couple, who unbeknownst to either, had individually befriended both of the hosts prior to their relationship with each other. Also raising their glasses to the newlyweds were Allure’s Linda Wells, House & Garden’s Dominique Browning, Cynthia and Amanda Frank, Glamour’s Cindi Leive, Interview’s Ingrid Sischy, Sandy Brant, Atoosa Rubenstein, Bonnie Fuller, R. Couri Hay, Paul Wilmot, Sarah Brown, Ali Slatkin, and the groom’s mother, Renee. |
