| Last Thursday night at Hiro Ballroom, Paper Magazine held a party to celebrate its 12th Annual Beautiful People Issue. Guests were treated to a razzle dazzle performance by Katy Perry who is the magazine’s cover girl for the issue. DJs Jon Jon Battles and Cassidy kept the night moving. |

Last Monday night at The Edison Ballroom, Symphony Space paid homage to the Great White Way by honoring Lin-Manuel Miranda; Tony Award-winning composer, writer, and star of In the Heights; Brian Stokes Mitchell, Tony Award-winning actor (Man of La Mancha; Ragtime; Kiss Me Kate) and President, The Actors Fund of America; Donna Murphy, Tony Award-winning actress (Lovemusik; Passion; Wonderful Town; The King and I); and The Rodgers Family Foundation, longtime generous supporter of New York cultural institutions, including Symphony Space.
Proceeds from the annual Gala, co-hosted by Stockard Channing and Symphony Space founder and Artistic Director Isaiah Sheffer, provide crucial support for Symphony Space’s performing arts and education programming. In keeping with the Broadway theme, Symphony Space will present a free marathon Wall to Wall Broadway concert on Saturday, May 16. Gala table buyers will also receive reserved seating for this popular event.
For over 30 years, Symphony Space has been producing and presenting artistically and culturally diverse music, dance, literary, theatre, family, and film programs that bring artists and audiences together in an atmosphere of exploration and intimacy. Its signature events include Selected Shorts: A Celebration of the Short Story, hosted by Isaiah Sheffer and nationally broadcast on public radio; Bloomsday on Broadway; and Wall to Wall music events and other marathons. Symphony Space’s Artistic Director is Isaiah Sheffer and the Executive Director is Cynthia Elliott. |

“He’s Just Not That Into You.” Don’t you love that title? It can be taken many ways, reflecting many attitudes and ultimately a heart-crusher. Can’t you just see the look on her face when she hears it? For a moment. The movie you almost feel you don’t need to see; you know what it’s about, and you’re certainly glad it’s not happening to you. Although don’t be so sure.
They were all into “He’s Just Not That Into You” recently when it was screened by The Cinema Society (together with Stardoll & Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti) hosting with the film’s star Ginnifer Goodwin.
The down/uptown glitterati turned out of course. CS founder Andrew Saffir greeted his guests at the screenig and then the supper at the Tribeca and Soho Grand Hotels.

Porsche was the host, and there was a live auction of a 2010 Porche 911 GT3 (which sold for $150,000), followed by cocktails and dinner for the select many.
