Summer Carnivals

Mindy Feinberg, Roxanne Palin, Cathy Schwartz, Jackie Harris Hochberg, Petra, Christie, Erica Karsch, Tasha Genatt, and Bambi Felberbaum at Diamond Ranch in Water Mill for the 19th Annual Wild Wild West Family Day Carnival to benefit the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
This past Sunday at the Diamond Ranch on Mecox Road in Watermill, the Albert Einstein College of Medicine’s 19th Annual Wild Wild West Family Day Carnival was held to benefit the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

The event was attended by hundreds of children and adults and raised several hundred thousand dollars for Einstein’s Children’s Evaluation & Rehabilitation Center (CERC), a nationally renowned program serving children with severe developmental disorders such as autism, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, hearing impairments and learning and language disabilities -- and their families.

The western themed carnival featured games, rides, exciting contests like a scavenger hunt, freeze dancing hula hooping, a potato sack race, parent/child tug-of-war, watermelon eating and a water balloon toss. Ongoing activities included arts and crafts, family photos, a bungee bull, giant slide, inflatable bouncers, petting zoo, pony rides, western dress-up, an obstacle course, carnival booths, cupcake decorating, hairstyling, face painting, balloon artists, and much more!

Robert Verdi hosted Animal Fair Magazine’s 9th Annual Paws for Style Fashion Show, presented by Cesar Canine Cuisine.  Celebs and activists including The Hills’ Lauren Conrad, Cornelia Guest, Nikki Blonski, Animal Fair’s chief pet officer and judge on the new CBS series Greatest American Dog Wendy Diamond, twin Maxim models Jodie and Diane Fanelli, Richard Belzer, Miss Teen USA Hilary Cruz, Devorah Rose, Maria Kanellis, Alison Becker, Lauren Glassberg, Jo Piazza, Frances Hayward, Emma Snowdon-Jones, and James Aguiar, hit the runway with their four-legged friends in support of the Humane Society of New York (HSNY) in designs by philanthropic designers including Marc Jacobs, Tory Burch, Armani, Michael Mione, Maggie Norris, Heatherette, Jackie Rogers, Christian Audigier, Rebecca Taylor, FORM by Jerry Tam, Badgley Mischka, and Nanette Lepore.
Each of the looks seen on the runway will be auctioned off on eBay.com. 100% of the proceeds from the event and the auction will benefit the HSNY to provide funds for their hospital, adoption, spay and neuter programs. Since 1904, the HSNY has been a presence in New York City, reaching out to animals in need when illness, injury or homelessness strikes. Today, their programs help 30,000 cats and dogs annually and their numbers continue to grow. The cost of caring is high, and the HSNY’s hard work is made possible entirely by their own fundraising efforts and the charitable gifts of people who value and choose to support their mission.
