| These drawings from Schulenberg’s sketchbooks were done in Paris in 1963. The journey which had begun more than a year before as a visit, had turned into a professional adventure as well, and he was being commissioned to do illustrations for French magazines including French Vogue. |
| He sent us some copy about the sketches and that time in his life, which we decided to leave as if they were notes from the sketchbook. |
