| CANCER101 held its BIG TOP AT THE BOWERY cocktail benefit at the Bowery Terrace at the Bowery Hotel, to celebrate cancer patients, survivors and their caregivers. More than 350 supporters attended the l party -- replete with popcorn, cotton candy, candy apples, STOGO ice cream, and live performances by the Donnell Adler, Inc. and the renowned Broadway in South Africa troupe, including aerialists, acrobats, jugglers, stilt walkers, tarot card reader, magicians and hula hoopers. Hosted by the Today Show’s Hoda Kotb and John Mahdessian, the Bowery Terrace was the showground for guests such as Shauna Brook, Ann Caruso, Shaokao and Nikki Cheng, Peter Davis, Robert Farrior, Melissa Foss, Miguelina Gambaccini, Monica Knoll, Anisha Lakhani, Kristian Laliberte, Keith Lissner, Erin Lucas, Aslaug Magnusdottir, Liam McMullan, Veronica Moncho-Lobo, Maggie Norris, Bianca Pratt, Euan Rellie, Susan Shin, Mona Wyatt, Maine de Biran and more. |

| Madame Paulette announced its year-long partnership with CANCER101, committing to raising funds for the organization through the auction of restored vintage designer gowns -- we are “saving clothes to save lives,” said Mr. Mahdessian. Other generous sponsors included Sanofi-Aventis, which was the “Big Top Sponsor,” Genentech, Inc. and The Greater New York Hospital Association, which were collectively, the “Three Ring Sponsors.” The evening was also a celebration of all the good work that CANCER101 does and the progress that it has made since its founding in 2002 by cancer survivor Monica Knoll. |

| Calvary Hospital held its 26th Annual Awards Gala at The Pierre, with the evening raising nearly $600,000 and benefiting the Hospital.
Charles J. Groppe, Esq., Putney, Twombly, Hall & Hirson LLP received the Calvary Medal. John A. Decina, AIA, CEO, Barr & Barr, Inc. received the Calvary Distinguished Trustee Service Award. Mary and William Buckley, Myra and Arthur Mahon, Diahn W. and Thomas McGrath, and Kathleen and Stratford Wallace were Gala Co-Chairs. Dennis M. Schneider and Olga Luz Tirado were Journal Co-Chairs. Al Roker, was the Master of Ceremonies and Broadway’s Melissa Errico gave a special performance. Since its founding in 1899, Calvary Hospital has been devoted to providing care to adult patients in the advanced stages of cancer, addressing the symptoms of the disease, not its cure. Operated in connection with the Archdiocese of New York, Calvary is a voluntary, not-for-profit hospital, embodying a tradition of caring through its many programs and services. Through its Palliative Care Institute, Calvary strives to transmit its exceptional knowledge of caring for the advanced cancer patient to other health care professionals, through research and education. The National Cancer Institute designated Calvary as the International Standard of Excellence for Palliative Care. |

| Artists were selected for “Younger Than Jesus” through an open curatorial model where an international network of correspondents and an information-sharing group of more than 150 curators, writers, teachers, artists, critics, and bloggers worldwide, were asked to recommend artists for the exhibition. Through this process, more than 500 artists were recommended and researched. |

| Ingrid and Isabella Rossellini hosted a cocktail reception (at Morton’s Steakhouse) for their sister, Pia Lindström, to celebrate the launch of her new Sirius XM Book Radio show, Pia Lindström Presents. Pia Lindström Presents is a weekly interview show hosted by the veteran movie and theater critic on which she talks to authors, film directors, producers, literary insiders, movie critics, slam poets, lyricists and others. Among the guests who attended were Pia’s sisters Ingrid and Isabella Rossellini, Pia’s son Justin Daly, CeCe Black, Maria Cooper Janis, Tony Guida, Elke and Ben Gazzara, Marianne and John K. Castle, Ingrid and John Connolly, Joan Muss Linclau, Joanna Simon, Ted Chapin, Doug Leeds and Sirius XM Radio President Scott Greenstein. |

| UJA-Federation of New York’s Entertainment, Media & Communications Division honored Jeff Zucker, president and CEO of NBC Universal, with the Steven J. Ross Humanitarian Award, at its premier Leadership Awards Dinner.
The event was emceed by NBC sportscaster Bob Costas and included special performances by comedian Jimmy Fallon and Kathy Griffin. Alec Baldwin, presented Zucker with the award. Past recepients of the award include Michael Eisner, Rupert Murdoch, Sumner M. Redstone, and Richard Parsons. Jason Kilar, CEO of Hulu, an innovative online video service that offers TV shows, movies and clips, and other online destination sites for free, received the UJA-Federation’s Rising Leadership Award. Also attending were Ann Curry, Matt Lauer, Al Roker, Maria Menounos, Stephanie March, B.D. Wong, Carl Quintanilla, David Faber, Joe Kernen, Melissa Russo, Lynda Baquero, and Miss USA, Kristen Dalton. |
