Faraone Mennella and Barbara Baldieri-March host a benefit for "March to the Top" in Malibu.

Hollywood ... Hollywood ... Fabulous Follywood ... Celluloid Babylon, glorious, glamorous, City delirious, Frivolous, serious, Goal of ambitions and vicious and clamorous. By Don Blanding, 1929 I get very nostalgic when I see pictures like this. The light of Southern California splashed all over those beaming faces washing everything fresh. I can feel the damp sea air along those narrow strips they call beaches up in Malibu. This first event, photographed by one of Patrick McMullan’s lensman in LA, was hosted by Amedeo Scognamiglio and his partner Roberto Faraone Mennella (of Faraone Mennella) and Barbara Balidieri-March at her Malibu casa. The Faraone Mennella boys who design an exclusive collection for Carolina Herrera, had their jewelry on display and were getting a lot of attention.

The event was to benefit March’s foundation March To the Top which devotes its funds to charitable activities in Africa, addressing communities constructing schools and hospitals and digging water wells.
