Quintessential and stellar New York now was the screening of Woody Allen’s latest, Whatever Works, hosted by the Cinema Society along with The New Yorker and Moët & Chandon. The film showing was followed by a dinner under the stars (with the stars) at that New York institution, The River Café. Everybody, it seems, had dropped everything to see Woody and his new picture.
Michael Barker, Woody Allen, Patricia Clarkson, Larry David, and Tom Bernard
Cinema Society founder Andrew Saffir rolled out the red carpet for Allen and his cast Larry David, Patricia Clarkson, and Evan Rachel Wood, and following the screening, water taxis transported the glittery group of celebrities over to the River Café in Brooklyn. Raving over Allen’s latest opus were Patrick Wilson, Stanley Tucci, Gerard Butler, Brooke Shields, Martha Stewart, First Lady Michelle Paterson, Barbara Walters, Lake Bell, Julianna Margulies, Amy Ryan, Swoosie Kurtz, Joy Behar, Ana Ortiz (“Ugly Betty”), Seth Meyers (“Saturday Night Live”), Stephen Moyer (“True Blood”), Helena Christensen, Lindsay Price (“Lipstick Jungle”), Josh Radnor (“How I Met Your Mother”), Dana Delany, Andrew McCarthy, Agyness Deyn, Lonny Ross (“30 Rock”), Lisa Lampanelli, Caroline Rhea, Dick Cavett, James Lipton, Bob Balaban, Ben Shenkman, Gilles Bensimon, Patrick & Mia Demarchelier, Arianna Huffington, Jay McInerney, Candace Bushnell, Zach Galligan, Amy Sacco, Doutzen Kroes, Rosanna Scotto (“Good Day New York”), Irina Pantaeva, Olivia Palermo (“The City”), Johannes Huebl, Rocco Dispirito, Daniel Benedict, Elise Crombez, Dan Abrams, Dave Zinczenko, Fern Mallis, Blaine Trump, David Lauren, Lauren Bush, Debbie Bancroft, Jennifer Creel, Jessica Joffe, Eleanor Ylvisaker, Bettina Zilkha, Buzzy O’Keefe, Whitley Bouma-Herbert, producers Letty Aronson, Stephen Tenenbaum & Helen Robin, Sony Pictures Classics’ Co-Presidents Michael Barker and Tom Bernard, and The New Yorker Editor-in-Chief David Remnick and Publisher Lisa Hughes.
