Last Monday night a week, in New York, the ICA&CA celebrated the 27th Anniversary of the Arthur Ross Awards for Excellence in the Classical Tradition at the University Club in New York.
Close to 400 people attended to recognize this year’s winners and to pay tribute to the ICA&CA’s late and beloved co-founder, Arthur Ross. His leadership, generosity and wise counsel set a guiding standard for the Institute for years to come.
The event drew ICA&CA friends and ‘family’ in celebration of classical work past, present and future. Following remarks from Institute President Paul Gunther, the evening began with Alan Greenberg, this year’s jury chair with Anne Fairfax, ICA&CA chair, presenting this year’s winners with their awards:

More than 500 supporters of The Frick Collection were present at the opening night preview of the International Fine Art Fair at the 7th Regiment Park Avenue Armory. The occasion offered advance access to the keenly anticipated Haughton International Fine Art Fair -- one of the art world's preeminent events -- now in its fifteenth year. Over $270,000 was raised by the preview benefit in support of the Frick’s special exhibitions program.
A greater number of the Frick’s Young Fellows than ever before turned out for the event. They were joined by many members of its Board, Council, Directors Circle, and others. Collectors and other artworld figures also attended the preview, among them one less associated with the Frick: Jon Bon Jovi. He lingered at the event, enjoying the range and variety of art on view. |
