| Last Sunday, the Lung Cancer Research Foundation hosted its 4th Annual Strides for Life 3- mile fun run around Lake Agawam in Southampton. More than a thousand people turned out. Joey Smith, a 26-year-old lung cancer survivor cut the ribbon to start the race along with the event’s honorary chair, Christy Turlington Burns. Rosanna Scotto emceed. The largest Strides for Life, the race raised more than $350,000 for the Lung Cancer Research Foundaiton. The event has raised almost $1.7 million since its inception. |

More than 850 attended the sold-out concert headlined by Crosby, Stills & Nash at UJA-Federation of New York’s New Leadership Campaign’s 19th annual Summer Fest Concert in the Park at the FOTA Pavilion at Planting Fields Arboretum State Historic Park, in Oyster Bay.
The evening also featured a performance by The Nancy Atlas Project. The sold-out event that raised more than $1 million for UJA-Federation of New York’s Long Island region. They honored Pamela Barnett who was presented with the Robert S. Boas Award for her philanthropic and community leadership. Cori and Sandy Goldfarb, Alonna and Michael Ostad, and Cindy and Paul Woldar served as event chairs. |
