The 2009 Hamptons Classic opened the Sunday before last in Bridgehampton. The Classic was organized in the 1920s and in the past twenty years it has grown to be one of the biggest horse shows of its kind. Besides drawing competition from all over America, it is also a major summer social event for the Hamptons summer and weekend people.
