Last Tuesday night, over at the Mandarin Oriental, Phoenix House held its annual Fashion Awards Dinner, honoring Diane Von Furstenberg, Andrew Rosen of Theory and Jim Gold of Neiman Marcus Retail. They played to a packed out. This is a very popular charitable event for the industry and it brought out many of the movers and shakers in the fashion and retail industry. Ali Wentworth was emcee (when she got there – Rosemarie Bravo pinch-hit for her for the first part of the program). They raised a million for Phoenix House and everyone had a great time.

Last Wednesday night at 82 Mercer, ARTWALK NY held its 18th annual benefit with Artist Honoree Jack Pierson and Philanthropic Honoree Patrick McMullan. Co-chairs for the evening were Richard Gere, Carey Lowell, and Coco Rocha. Honorary chair was Alec Baldwin.

ARTWALK NY brings artists and art lovers together in an effort to support our homeless neighbors and celebrate the most accomplished artists of our time. All funds from ARTWALK NY directly benefit the Coalition for the Homeless' life-saving programs.
New York City has reached record levels of homelessness with over 47,000 people including 20,000 children sleeping in emergency shelters tonight. For over 30 years the Coalition has been the most important advocate for homeless New Yorkers. They fight for decent affordable housing policies while also providing crisis services, job training, permanent homes and special programs for children to more than 3,500 of our most vulnerable neighbors each day.
