Colin Cowie, who styled the "Grease" themed benefit, left no detail to chance, procuring six classic cars, vintage-style décor, lockers and even a school bus, to transform the Hamptons venue into Rydell High School. Renowned chef and restaurateur David Burke catered the affair, mixing 1950's favorites like Pigs in a Blanket, Wild Salmon Croquettes and Black Cherry and Chocolate Malt Milkshakes, with updated summer delights such as Watermelon and Burrata Salad, Turkey Club Kabobs, Cheesecake Lollipops and Lemon Meringue Pie Shots.

During cocktail hour, guests mingled while enjoying passed hors d'oeuvres, comparing costumes and bidding on silent auction items that included a variety of autographed memorabilia signed by the cast of the movie "Grease," The Beatles and Marilyn Monroe. After sitting down to a delicious dinner, guests enjoyed the musical styling of Daryl Hall and John Oates, who entertained the crowd with their hit songs including "You Make My Dreams Come True," "Your Kiss (is What I Miss)" and "Maneater." By the end of the show, guests were ready to groove and took to the dance floor for the sock hop portion of the night, revisiting popular 1950's dances such as the Hand Jive, Lindy Bob, Cha-Cha and Swing.

The Rydell High School Sock Hop benefitting the Prostate Cancer Foundation was planned in association with the Charles Evans Prostate Cancer Foundation Pro-Am Tennis Tournament, which took place during the same weekend, Friday, August 23, 2013 – Sunday, August 25, 2013.

RxArt, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving pediatric hospital environments through art, hosted an evening of sunset cocktails at The Bridge Golf Course in Bridgehampton. The cocktail party served as a pre-cursor to the organization’s annual benefit event, the RxArt 13th Anniversary Party, which will take place in September 2013.

Since its founding in 2000 by Diane Brown, RxArt has steadily aimed to improve pediatric hospitals by transforming the intimidating environments into comforting, engaging spaces. Using site-specific contemporary art as its platform, RxArt provides patients and their families the opportunity to escape the stresses and pains of illness and instead offers a sense of hope.
RxArt President and Founder Diane Brown was joined by many supporters, including Work of Art star and RxArt Board Member Bill Powers; BRAVO TV’s Trez Thomas; author and “The Style Guy” of GQ Glenn O’Brien; artists Peter Dayton, Enoc Perez, and Aaron Young; fashion designers Rachel Fleit and Tanya Taylor; photographers Philippe Cheng, Jack Pierson and Bastienne Schmidt; interior designer John Bjornen; bridal and fashion designer Gregory Nato; and former RxArt Board Member Regina Feuer and husband Brian Feuer.

Guests also indulged in delectable hors d’ouerves handcrafted by Sweden’s Junior National Culinary Team, a team of gold medal chefs who spent the summer preparing gourmet appetizers at various Hamptons charity events.

The RxArt 13th Anniversary Party will be held at the Lever House in New York City on Monday, September 16, 2013, and will serve as a special tribute to artist Kenny Scharf and his installation for Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn. Guests who attend will enjoy a cocktail reception followed by silent and live art auctions. Tickets can be purchased online for the RxArt 13th Anniversary Party at:

The ubiquitous, legendary photographer of the New York social scene of the last 40 years, Patrick McMullan, celebrated his birthday Tuesday night at the Magnises Penthouse and Roof Garden on 132 Wooster Street. It was by invitation only (the only way to corral the crowds of Patrick's friends) and DJ Huda delivered the music and the birthday boy, who's just a few years beyond forty. The Party, which began at nine, could have run forever, but Patrick's nightlife with the lens will anyway.
