ADAA Art Show, Bronx Museum, The China Arts Foundation International, and the Palm Beach Heart Ball

Opening night of The Art Show kicked hosted by the Art Dealers Association of America (ADAA) to benefit Henry Street Settlement.
The Art Show kicked off on Tuesday night with the Gala Preview and Ribbon-Cutting with NY Cultural Affairs Commissioner Tom Finkelpearl. Hosted by the Art Dealers Association of America (ADAA) to benefit Henry Street Settlement, the event was led by ADAA President Dorsey Waxter, The Art Show Chairman Adam Sheffer, and ADAA Executive Director Linda Blumberg.

Many art collectors, patrons, museum principals, and artists attended to celebrate the 27th edition of the nation's longest running fine art fair and view the 72 museum-quality exhibitions.

This past Monday, Bronx Museum of the Arts held its 2015 Spring Gala + Auction. The Museum raised $845,000 and all proceeds will enable the Museum to continue offering free public programs—further enhancing its mission to making art accessible to communities in the Bronx, New York, and across the globe.

This year, the Bronx Museum’s annual Spring Gala celebrates 10 years of the Museum’s Teen Council program. Established in 2005, and comprising of a group of high school students working closely with educators in the Museum’s Media Lab, the Teen Council makes contemporary art and culture accessible to urban youth through an eight-month after-school program providing teenagers with an open forum for dialogue and exploration of the Bronx as an important cultural, political, and artistic force.

On Monday February 23rd, The China Arts Foundation International held its 2nd Annual Gala, at 583 Park Avenue. Every year, the China Arts Foundation International supports and co-hosts major events to promote participation of Chinese Americans and people from Greater China in all fields of American life. The evening was chaired by China Arts Foundation International Founder and Chairwoman Angela Chen along with Nicholas Platt and celebrated the current Chinese New Year. 2015 Honorees included Jon Hunstman, Qiyue Zhang, Long Yu, and Lan Yan.

Down in Palm Beach Heart Ball Co-Chairwomen Kathryn C. Vecellio, Julie Rudolph, Judi Richards, Monika Preston, Sharon O'Neil, Annie Falk, Hermé de Wyman Miro, Margarita Allinson and Lee Ann Alderton, along with 450 distinguished guests, formally celebrated the 60th anniversary of the Palm Beach Heart Ball. The Venetian Ballroom of the Breakers Hotel was transformed into L'Orangerie de Versailles, and guests danced the evening away to music performed by Soul Survivor.

The prestigious Co-Chairwomen of the 60th Annual Palm Beach Heart Ball are members of the Go Red for Women Founder's Circle, a group of influential women, who are very passionate about women's heart health in their local community. The Founder's Circle impacts women by empowering them to live longer healthier lives free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.

Over the past sixty years, the Palm Beach Heart Ball has progressed into a premier social event, known in Palm Beach and around the country for its elegant style and sophistication. On February 26, David Noto hosted the second annual Altaneve on Ice black tie ice-skating social at The Rink at Brookfield Place.

The affair featured a live jazz performance by Cole Rumbough, as guests enjoyed Magnolia Bakery mini cupcakes and sipped Altaneve Prosecco while watching professional figure skaters Stephanie Jill Chernick and Kristina Layton dance around the ice.
All Proceeds from the event benefited Gabrielle's Angel Foundation for Cancer Research, an organization that focuses on finding less toxic treatments for patients with leukemia, lymphoma and other related blood cancers.
