On Tuesday evening, November 28, fine jeweler Verdura’s CEO Ward Landrigan and President Nico Landrigan celebrated artist and entertaining guru Cathy Graham and her newly launched book Second Bloom: Cathy Graham’s Art of the Table at the company’s Fifth Avenue gallery.
Guests were given signed copies of the limited edition slipcased book, along with Second Bloom candles and a notebook designed by Graham especially for the party. Other guests included Liliana Cavendish, Gigi Mortimer, Vendome publisher Mark Magowan and wife Nina, George Farias, Elle Decor’s Ingrid Abramovitch, the book’s author Alexis Clark, David Monn, Christopher Mason, John Yunis, Judy Gordon Cox, Lisa Frelinghuysen, Jane Blair Oberle, and Lisa Jackson. Other guests enjoying champagne included Emily Frick Froelich and Robert Froelich, Elizabeth Peabody, Martha and Peter Webster, Maureen Footer, Laura Hunt with Cynthia Frank, Jane Soudavar, DC’s Daren Thomas, Maria Tuttle, Ashley McDermott, Peggy Guinness, Virginia Warner, Joanna Fisher, Elizabeth Fuller, Sylvia and Alison Mazzola, Peter Pennoyer and Katie Ridder, Susan Magrino, Jesse Carrier, Alexandra Howard, Peter Gallagher and Paula Harwood, Ernie Pomerantz and Marie Brenner, and Cathy’s son Tommy Graham with Lexie Sinsheimer. Second Bloom: Cathy Graham’s Art of the Table is filled with her whimsical sketches and demonstrates how to create lively occasions with original touches. It is published by Vendome Press and is now available on Amazon. |

The Lerner Children’s Pavilion at Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) celebrated its 5th anniversary with a benefit to support the pavilion’s pediatric care and research on Thursday, November 30, 2017. Hosted by Jason Biggs, the event included a cocktail hour and dinner at the Rainbow Room as well as a special performance from the Chris Norton Band. The event raised nearly $1.3 million for pediatric care and research. The event is hosted by co-chairs Lara Lerner, Miriam & Roger F. Widmann, MD, and Kendrick R. Wilson III & Ann Jackson. Honorary chairs include Kate Doerge and Monica Keany. Vice chairs are Rob Goldstein, Celene Menschel and Sara Weiner, PhD. |

On November 27th at The Plaza Hotel, the Children’s Cancer & Blood Foundation (CCBF) hosted their Annual “Breakthrough Ball” Benefit.
They honored Ronald J. Iervolino, Co-Chairman, Greenbacker Group LLC and Co-Chairman, Children’s Cancer & Blood Foundation. Mr. Iervolino was being recognized for his philanthropic work to raise funds and awareness for children’s cancer & blood diseases, his steadfast leadership of CCBF, and his advocacy for parents of children with cancer and blood disorders. Willie Geist, Host of NBC's "Sunday Today" and Co-host of MSNBC's "Morning Joe" served as Master of Ceremonies. |
