On Thursday, February 7th, New York City Ballet held its Annual Luncheon benefit at Lincoln Center. The luncheon was attended by 660 guests and raised more than $721,100 for the Company.

The 2019 Annual Luncheon was generously sponsored by Italian luxury fashion brand Max Mara and Indian fine jewelry brand Munnu The Gem Palace.

This year’s program Balanchine’s Ballet Revolution paid homage to NYCB Co-Founder George Balanchine and how he created one of America’s great ballet companies. With personal stories, insider experiences, and live performances of Balanchine’s trailblazing choreography, the program was hosted by NYCB Board Member Donya Archer Bommer with panelists including NYCB Soloist and Resident Choreographer Justin Peck, former NYCB Principal Dancer and Balanchine scholar Suki Schorer, former NYCB Principal Dancer Edward Villella, as well as current dancers from the Company. An elegant luncheon followed on the Promenade of the David H. Koch Theater.

Announced each year as part of the Annual Luncheon is the recipient of The Janice Levin Dancer Award, which was created by NYCB in 2000 and is bestowed upon one of the Company’s most promising corps de ballet dancers. A member of the Board of Directors for NYCB and the School of American Ballet, Mrs. Levin was a stalwart supporter of young artists at both organizations. This year’s recipient was Kristen Segin.

On the evening of February 28th, 2019, French Heritage Society and notable guests gathered at Club Colette for their elegant Annual Palm Beach Gala Dinner.

The sold-out fête was held at the behest of Gala Chairs Michael A. Kovner and Jean Doyen de Montaillou.  CeCe Black, FHS Events Chair, and Suzanne Stoll, Palm Beach Representative, added their special touch to the proceedings. The presence of FHS Chairman Elizabeth F. Stribling and Consul General of France in Miami Clément Leclerc enhanced the prestige of the dinner.

The Young Professionals Committee (YPC) of Susan G. Komen Greater New York City, hosted its eleventh annual fundraiser, Paint the Park Pink on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Tavern on the Green. Paint the Park Pink highlights the life-saving work of Susan G. Komen Greater NYC and the YPC. There was music by DJ Rose’, food and drinks, a photobooth and a silent auction.

Young breast cancer survivor, Bridget Glazarov, DDS was presented with the Sandra L. Kozlowski Young Survivor Award and Barclay’s Investment Bank with the Empowering Wellness- Empowering the Journey Award. Komen Greater NYC CEO Linda McNeil Tantawi, Founder of Susan G. Komen, Nancy Brinker, Member of the Komen Greater NYC Board of Directors, Eric Brinker, YPC Founder, Sandra L. Kozlowski and YPC Executive Chair, Maneet Ahuja were all in attendance to present the honorees with their awards.

The YPC has raised over $1.6 Million since being founded in 2009. These funds will help underwrite Komen Greater NYC's breast health screening, treatment and support programs, which are vitally important to women who might otherwise not have access to breast health care.
