NYSD in HOLLYWOOD - At last week's fifth annual Motorola Hollywood holiday bash, the gorgeous crowd didn't have to wait for the headliner's cue to "get the party started." Arriving in limos and luxury vehicles as early as 9 PM (yes, that's even a bit early for the west coast homebodies), young actors and other showbiz and fashion types poured into the massive Culver City warehouse setting Conjunctive Points, which was converted into a pink-hued cocktail lounge for the fabulous fete.

Pink
Among the first to arrive on the "pink" carpet was quite appropriately Alecia Moore, a.k.a. Pink. The rocker posed for the massive throng of paparazzi and later took the stage to perform a five-song set for which it's rumored she collected a rather generous six-figure paycheck, all before winging out to Gotham for a stint on "Saturday Night Live."

Pink's performance was surely a highlight, but the hipness benchmark du jour for a Hollywood party is an appearance by those regulars on the L.A. social circuit, the crew from "The O.C." And as if this event needed any further validation, there they were, on the heels of adorning a major magazine cover as TV's newest breakout hit. Adorable castmates Mischa Barton, Rachel Bilson, Ben McKenzie and Adam Brody — plus fifth wheel Samaire Armstrong — cozied up to each as the show's 27-year-old wunderkind creator Josh Schwartz observed the moment nearby.

Other young celebrities such as Tori Spelling, Molly Sims and Shannon Elizabeth mingled with Marine Corps Reserve members on hand to help in the collection of donated gifts for the Toys for Tots program. Also toying around was fedora-clad comic Jamie Foxx, who led a party train of friends to the dance floor to display some funky moves before heading back out the front door.

Actors on schmooze patrol included Dule Hill, Danny Masterson, Topher Grace, Melissa George, Sara Rue, Michelle Trachtenberg, Taryn Manning, Lindsay Lohan, Zach Braff, and Bonnie Sommerville.

Nicky Hilton was there, too, with her newly brunette locks but without her infamous elder sister.

Most of the talent didn't miss the opportunity to press the flesh with the event's engineer, Moto marketing maven David Pinsky. A former flack who moved to L.A. half a decade ago to tackle the telecom's Tinseltown trendsetting tactics, Pinsky has quickly acquired the reputation as gadget guru to the stars — and he's placed many a cellular phone and two-way pager into celebrity hands.

So while many of the celebrities generously donated a toy at the beginning of the evening, it's probably safe to say most didn't leave empty handed either at the end of night.

Saks Fifth Avenue/ Dadeland went to the dogs a few Saturdays ago. The event was hosted by Juan Lopez, Vice President and General Manager of Saks Fifth Avenue/Dadeland. World renowned dermatologist, Dr. Fredrick Brandt served as Honorary Chair along with his Honorary Chairdog, Sparky.

Patricia Wallace, Chairman of the Jackson Memorial Foundation Board of Directors served as Chairwoman accompanied by her Chairdog, Daphne. This unique event honored the Jackson Memorial Foundation Golden Angels and their dogs.  The event saluted all the animals that enhance and help extend lives and contribute to ongoing good health. The event will also recognize the Schiff Liver Institute Campaign Against Liver Disease. A sumptuous array of goodies for both the four legged and two legged guests was laid out. The rotunda of the newly renovated Saks Fifth Avenue/Dadeland was turned into an indoor garden with beautiful arrangements of seasonal flowers trees surrounded by trellis.

The dogs dined out of silver bowls designed by LCG Paris. A temporary doggy boutique was set up featuring chic dog carriers by Louis Vuitton and Christian Dior and an assortment of jeweled leashes, collars and for those dogs that reside in the North as well as Florida fetching sweaters. Golden Angels sipped tea and enjoyed the bite size nibbles as models wearing designs by Chanel appeared throughout the event. As the afternoon wound down canines were able to catch a quick nap on one of the luxurious dog beds by Claire Puyala. The beds came in a variety of shape, sizes and materials. Each dog and its owner was introduced and awarded a certificate of thanks from the Jackson Memorial Foundation.
