Peter Morton’s Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas was the happening hot spot this weekend as the Hotel & Casino presented the Ultimate Concert Weekend, with activities taking place in and around the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino from Friday through Saturday.

Friday, July 18th kicked off the weekend, with Elvis Costello performing at the Joint inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. Costello’s show was opened by Chris Robinson, who was cheered on by wife Kate Hudson and her family, mom Goldie Hawn, Kurt Russell, brother Oliver and friend, actress Sara Foster. Celebs and loyal fans rocked the house, while a rowdier crowd was gathering poolside at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino to catch a glimpse of Camp Freddy, who performed with R&B/alternative diva Macy Gray. (Camp Freddy band-member Dave Navarro was absent due to his Lollapalooza tour.) Celebrities such as Rachel Hunter, Ione Skye, Drea DeMatteo, Jared Leto, and socialite Tatiana Von Furstenberg were among the boldfaced names to attend the concert and party it up at the exclusive VIP after party at the Hotel & Casino’s “Baby’s Nightclub.”

Duran Duran was on everybody’s minds. The band, who hadn’t performed together in 18 years, got the crowd going with all of their classic hits.

Oscar darling Adrien Brody, Tom Green, Jimmy Fallon, Macy Gray, 24 actress Sarah Wynter, Rosario Dawson, Orlando Jones, Maeve Quinlan, Smallville’s Michael Rosenbaum, and Guns N Roses drummer Matt Sorum, were among the big names seen jamming at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s “The Joint.” Immediately following, VIP’s were escorted to the near-by Simon Kitchen & Bar, for an after party – Vegas Style! Guests took Mango jellow shots, snacked on asparagus, chicken skewers, liquor-filled popsicles, bags of caramel popcorn, cotton candy, tuna tar tar and mini chocolate cupcakes, while dancing to the sounds of DJ Adam 12.

Joining celebs at the high-watt event were socialites and industry execs Chris Heinz, Charlotte Sprintas, Juicy Couture co-founder Gela Taylor (wife of the band’s John Taylor), Hard Rock Hotel & Casino heir Harry Morton, Amanda Demme, Universal Pictures VPs of Production Scott Stuber and Mary Parent, Manager Scott Bankston, Suzanne and Jennifer Todd, film scribe Scott Silver, and Brian Medavoy.
